Jane Callender - Shibori textile artist and indigo dyer.

Inspired by the needs of students wanting to start their own shibori ventures at home Jane has made the specialist art of indigo dyeing and shibori readily accessible. In bringing together all the necessary components and by designing informative starter and project packs the beginner will discover that indigo shibori is achievable, fun and rewarding. In addition it opens the door to a three dimensional textile world.

The more experienced textile artist will have plenty of freedom to work their own designs, and can benefit from a tailor made service as ingredients can be supplied for a specified vat size.

With Jane's specialist shibori stitch instruction and/or using a stencil she has designed, you will be able to create your own patterns and textures to produce unique indigo shibori fabrics. The techniques are ideal for patchwork and quilting, embroidery, art textiles, fashion and many other disiplines. The fabrics can, of course be enjoyed as indigo shibori in their own right!

...and if you only want that touch of special indigo blue on a thread or two - then the two pint pack is ideal!
