Cafe Maitreya is a restaurant in bristol serving great food. we’re proud to be the top vegetarian restaurant in the uk – as judged by the national vegetarian society. our menus change regularly and our chefs work hard to create modern vibrant dishes - all prepared with love and care. we source ingredients from local, small scale and/or ethical suppliers using organic, seasonal and wild ingredients as much as practical.

Our web site aims to allow customers to see our current menus and inform people of the events that we hold here. we've also added some extras such as recipes for our favourite dishes.

The name maitreya is derived from sanskrit and means universal love or loving kindness. the restaurant has been set up to reflect these values in our work and food.
