Roundwood Orchard Pig





Orchard reared free range pigs.

We are very passionate about our animals and our main priority is giving them a good quality of life. All our pigs are kept outdoors, the sows are allowed to farrow in their own arks. The piglets usually start to come out of the arks within the first 24 hours, our view is not to interfere unless it is absolutely necessary. Even our 2 boars Seth and Fred are in outdoor pens.

We have been fortunate enough to keep our pigs on our neighbours farm since 2000. The Tobutt family produce seasonal apples, pears and seasonal soft fruits. The pigs are fed all the fallen fruit from the farm which we feel adds to the superb taste of our meat.

Our main breeding sows are pedigree Saddlebacks and Oxford Sandy and Blacks, Seth is our Large White boar, we have found by cross breeding the sows with Seth the meat is leaner.

We only sell pork we produce on our own farm we do not buy in any stock.

We dry cure all our own bacon, gammons and we hand make all our own sausages and burgers.

We do not put water in any our products. Our products include chops, peppered steaks, loin chops, leg joints, loin joints, sausages, chipolatos, cocktail sausages, burgers, back bacon green and smoked, streaky bacon green and smoked, gammons traditiona/sweet or smoked, whole, half and quarter pigs are available cut to order.

Our varities of sausages include:

Apple, Cumberland, traditional, leek, Old English, sweet chilli, sundried tomota, rosemary and thyme, smoked hickory, sage and red onion, cranberry and rosemary and gluten free.
