Amy Forster handbags was launched by Amy in 2004. Amy recognized a growing market where the customer does not necessarily want to wear garments or accessories which are mass market produced and styling which is repetitive through the high street chains. Instead there is a growing demand for the "crafted" product following a bohemian revival where women want to express their individuality and portray their character through their image. A graduate from Hariot Watt University in Edinburgh's School of Textiles and Design, Amy worked in a large mail order company in Manchester gaining invaluable experience in both the UK and Far East markets; working closely with the buyers and the manufacturers to supply quality garments to the mass market across the UK. This experience has allowed Amy to learn in-depth manufacturing techniques and business logistics in a fast moving market which have now been translated into the individual label, Amy Forster. Amy Forster bags are crafted in very small numbers, some are produced only once thus the customer feels very proud of their one-off handbag. Prices are accessible to the customer, thus creating a product which is desirable but also financially achievable. Trade and general enquiries are most welcome.
