The Cheese Experience.

Leagram Organic Dairy is the newest addition to Lancashire's elite group of expert cheese producers. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and set in the picturesque village of Chipping. All these factors join together to create award winning cheese, spanning from its native Lancashire with its creamy, crumbly and tasty, to a mild cheddar, a buttery Double Gloucester, a smooth Red Leicester and finally a creamy, unique sheep’s cheese, using local milk from local farm. All county varieties and produced under organic standards to the highest quality but still made in the traditional way – by hand and all of them are waxed. As this dairy is small, different varieties can be created. Its newest creation is a Lancashire soft cheese, similar to feta but sweeter – What other cheeses can you bruiee? With the help of this expert cheese maker, who has brought the art of cheese making to life in his unique demonstrations, Leagram organic chesses will bring your taste buds alive. How appropriate that this little dairy should take us back to the first place Lancashire cheese was made commercially. All brought together by the expertise of Robert Kitching and his family. With 30 years experience Bob has created a dairy for visitors to see how cheese is made today and a museum to see how cheese used to be made.
