Felt making is an ancient textile skill that uses natural, renewable resources for limitless creation.

Heartfelt is a home based company that flows with the momentum of family life. Presently I work from Heartfelt Studio set within my garden.

From fine Nuno felt scarves (where wool fibres are felted through the open weave structure of fine fabrics such as silk chiffon or cotton muslin) to thick densely felted pieces of felt. Each item is made from hand dyed and hand felted fibres from a range of animals and plants. I use as many local fibre sources as possible.

Most of the designs are one off and though the style can be repeated, you will never meet anyone with a matching bag, hat or scarf to yours.

Wool naturally repels dust and dirt so clothing wears well. Items can be gently handwashed and reshaped while wet. Warm in the cold, breathable in the heat makes this type of felted clothing ideal to wear.
