Welcome to Chilli Elephant - The home of authentic South East Asian cooking.

Inspired by the delicious and exotic food from our travels, we attempted to replicate the cuisine of South East Asia at home to share with our friends and family.

But have you ever tried to find fresh curry leaves or pandan leaves in your local supermarket? Not easy is it! And if you do manage to find what you’re looking for you’ll have to buy ten times the amount you need and end up throwing most of it away. Or else you have to settle for inferior, dried substitute ingredients which do little to capture the original authentic flavour of the dish you’re cooking.

And you haven’t even reached the cooking stage yet! You’ve still got a few hours of chopping, grinding, cooking etc to look forward to before you even get to eat! It makes cooking your exciting new recipe all a bit tedious and a bit too much effort, especially after spending all day in the office!

We thought that there must be an easier way of cooking with fresh, authentic ingredients without having to spend hours shopping for them and then another few hours cooking.

So we thought we’d try our hand at putting together easy-to-use dinner kits to take the time and stress out of cooking interesting and exciting meals. Cue the Chilli Elephant range! All the fresh, authentic ingredients you need to make a delicious exotic dish in one box, already washed, chopped and weighed with simple instructions to cook a number of different recipes. So you still get to cook a delicious, authentic dish with fresh ingredients, and of course take all the credit! We do all the boring bits and leave you to do the fun stuff!

So why not treat your guests (and yourself!) to something a little different? Cambodian anyone? Sri Lankan? What about Vietnamese? Something you won’t find in your local supermarket or take-away. We bet you have never had a Thai dish this good outside of a restaurant.We use only the best sustainably sourced ingredients in our products with no added nasties such as artificial colours, additives or preservatives. All our ingredients come from local, trusted suppliers and we use compostable materials for our external packaging. We also support the work of Eleaid ( and it is part of Chilli Elephant’s company ethos to raise awareness for the plight of Asian Elephants.
