Ulster Wildlife Trust

We are Northern Ireland's leading local nature conservation charity.

We are passionate about the vital role local people have to play in securing a healthy future for our environment. Without a biodiverse environment, with healthy ecosystems and a wide range of species and habitats, we are all under threat – people and wildlife. We believe in taking local nature conservation action to secure the survival of life, acting locally, thinking globally.

What we do makes a real difference: Managing nature reserves for biodiversity; supporting community environmental action; campaigning for a healthy environment; and teaching people of all ages about nature.

We are at the forefront of nature conservation in Northern Ireland and have strong history of delivering positive action for local wildlife.

We are a locally driven organisation, with all of our funds and support coming from Northern Ireland and all of our work being carried out here.

We are part of The Wildlife Trusts partnership which is made up of 47 Wildlife Trusts from across the UK – making us part of the biggest locally driven movement with collective UK-wide influence.

You can support our work in many ways. You can become a member or give a donation, leave us a legacy in your Will. You can become a volunteer and help us in a wide range of areas, or you can support our campaigns and give us a stronger voice. This section of the site will tell you how you can get involved.
