Earthshare

Weekly Vegetable Boxes.
We grow and supply seasonal vegetables and soft fruit in the form of a weekly box all year round. All our crops are grown by organic methods, so your box is always packed with our own home-grown wholesome, healthy produce.
Because we are growing for local people, we cut out distributors and retailers and our subscribers get cost-price produce.
Subscribers can become more involved in the growing of their food, and we are able to offer a discount if you come to the field to help with seasonal tasks such as weeding and soft fruit picking. This is known as workshare and is entirely optional. If you prefer not to opt for workshare, you will still get news from the growers in our weekly box notes.
Subscribers make a commitment to EarthShare for a year at a time. During that year they receive an equal share of everything that is harvested. If the harvests are bountiful (which they usually are!) you will receive bountiful boxes; if one particular crop fails, you will receive less of that crop than planned. It is all about becoming more connected with your food and sharing the ups and downs of farming life.
This concept is known as Community Supported Agriculture: A partnership between farmers and consumers where the responsibilities and rewards of farming are shared. Earthshare started in 1994 and was one of the first CSA farms in the UK, but this concept is growing ever more popular as the years go by.
Our subscribers collect their boxes every week from one of our four pick-up points, in Forres, Findhorn and Elgin. Boxes are ready from 3pm on Fridays, and can be collected any time up to Sunday evening. Many of our subscribers, especially those further afield, have a shared collection rota to save time and fuel.
Earthshare holds various seasonal events throughout the year based around traditional celebrations. The most popular must be our Summer Garden Party where everyone enjoys delicious Earthshare strawberries and cream, as well as other seasonal delights! However, our Tattie Festival also has a charm of its own. This is a really important time for our farmers as it marks the successful harvest of the potatoes that will see us through winter, and always features a blazing bonfire, hot punch, and home-made soup - packed with lovely, tasty Earthshare vegetables of course!
