The Cambridge Organic Food Co. is at the heart of Cambridge's organic community.

We represent a group of 10 organic farms in the Cambridge area, making our ability to supply locally produced organic food unrivalled in the area. If you live in Cambridge, Huntingdon, St. Ives, St. Neots, Royston or Saffron Walden areas, and you are looking for fresh, locally produced organic foods then this is the service for you.

The Cambridge Organic Food Co. Organic Box Scheme is one of the best ways of buying fresh fruit and vegetables.

Knibbs are recognised for the quality of their meat and the special skills of their butchers preparing cuts of meat that not only look good but taste good.

Their meat is sourced from local farmers where grass feeding and careful husbandry gives you the comfort that the animals have been cared for and respected throughout their lives.

Mainly the meat will have come from Croxton Park and is frequently an old fashioned rare breed. The animals mature slowly in order that they reach optimal flavour and tenderness, there is no automated process or 'quick fix' to produce good meat. For those who have not cooked rare breed meat before there are subtle differences, the first thing you will notice is slightly more fat on the meat. This is entirely natural and is high in Omega 3. The second thing is that to maximise tenderness and flavour cooking can take a few minutes longer than a modern cross bred joint.

The Cambridge Organic Food Co. has been delivering box of organic fruit and vegetables in Cambridge since 1998. Among our workforce we have some of the most enthusiastic and knowlegable individuals in the field of organics.

We are central to the organic community of Cambridge and the surrounding area...

We regularly meet with the organic farmers whom we represent (and that is nearly all the organic farms within twenty miles of Cambridge).

We also supply produce to many independent organic, specialist and health food shops in the local area.

Most importantly, we get to meet all the members of our box scheme. You are, after all, a vital element of the organic system.
