Kings Norton Farmers' Market

The first Community Interest Farmers Market in Britain.
A market with over twenty five producers, most from within 40 miles of Birmingham.
A place where you can buy healthy, fresh food direct from the people who make it.
A locally run market where you can meet your neighbours.
Look after yourself. Fresh food is better for you. We have vegetables, fruit, fresh meat, fish and organic produce.
Look after your neighbourhood. Support your local farmers and producers, and help to keep The Green thriving.
Look after the Earth. Help the environment by eating food that hasnt travelled halfway across the world.
Kings Norton Farmers Market was set up by a group of local residents who wanted to make a difference to our community. We are a not for profit organisation - we charge traders for stalls, but most of this money is used to pay for the various licences, insurance and publicity that we need to operate. Any surplus is tied into the benefit of the Community through our status as a Community Interest Company.
Setting up the first ever Kings Norton Farmers Market was a suprisingly difficult process, but we had great support from David from the Moseley Farmers Market. Moseley have done a brilliant job, and have gone from a few stalls to being a regular and incredibly popular event - we can only hope to copy them!
Kings Norton Farmers Market is not part of Birmingham City Council, but we would like to express our thanks to the many Council officers who have helped us to get to this stage.
If you would like to volunteer to help us, either on the day, or by publicising our market, please let us know by emailing Duncan.
