Felt designs and workshops by Harriet Hill.

Made from 100% wool, FELT is a fantastically tactile material both to produce and use, a unique marriage of absorbing softness with real strength and solidity. As a textile that can be formed and moulded in a directly hands-on way, it allows me to cross sculpture with textiles and art with functional design, creating work that has a distinctive, contemporary style.

Products include accessories, sculpture, figures and wall and floor designs.

I have lead arts workshops and residencies with participants of very differing ages and abilities. While I use different techniques and materials if appropriate, my specialism is in felt-making workshops. The very tactile nature of the felting process and the almost magical transformation of the materials enables users to respond on many different levels.
